On The Easel

I've been having fun doing small pen and watercolor portraits of both people and pets. It's fun, but challenging to capture personality in a few ink lines and washes.

I suppose a journal isn't technically "on the easel", but I've been spending quite a lot of time working on several watercolor and ink nature journals. Here are just a few pages documenting the goings in my backyard this summer. I love watching the birds and animals that visit and painting journals entries to record their activity.
